The Missing Proof

Tom's publishers sent him two proofs, after kindly making a minuscule change free of charge after he'd looked over the first. The second proof – which is identical to the published book other than having the word “Proof” printed across the last page – he still has. The first, however, came out of his jacket pocket somewhere between Runcorn Rail Station and Liverpool's John Lennon Airport on the morning of Thursday, 26th May 2011.
If anyone has this, could he or she please return it. Tom values it on sentimental grounds. Tom will bear the cost of any postage and also send a signed first edition in recompense. He thanks you in anticipation, whoever you are.
